back from my trip. I havent been posting in the blog cause i have started writing a sep journal on the moleskine notebook. It's interesting to write what you think at that point in time and so i did. A lil brief update.
I am back in Paris after touring germany austria and uk. 3 countries 7 cities in 20 days. And, I am broke. I need to budget and i find a fetish in budgetting. It's interesting although potentially hazardous. I always ended up buying something when i am supposed to be on a budget, just for the thrill of it. Compulsive behaviour.
I noticed something about myself recently. I love habits. As in, I tend to do things repeatedly everyday, especially the things i eat. When i was in uk, i ate this starbucks yogurt and love it. So everyday i will go to starbucks to get it. I may not really want to eat it but i still do anyway. In Paris, I will only buy a certain type of biscuits that i first bought when i came to Paris. It's nice but i will habitually just buy that. I will just do the same thing over and over and eating the same thing makes me feel routine-ed. It's weird hur, and i dunno why but it gives me a sense of contentment and sense of normality by doing something everyday. I guess the predictability is the reason why i do the same thing everyday even if i do not particularly want to. Interesting fact again.
Did i mention that i love Austria and Germany? They are so lovely.
London feels like sg and i totally forgot about taking pictures until my london frens started snapping away instead. Musicals. I LOVE MUSICALS. If i can get to choose to do my phD there, it will be absolutely gorgeous. I watched Phantom of the Opera and Wicked. It's lovely! The effects were stunning especially for Wicked that i thought i was watching some computerised animation instead of a live musical. Phantom of the Opera was like a dream come true since i love the songs.. The vocals were nice and i wonder and wonder how can they sing like that every night as the musicals are on every night. London rocks. It is like Singapore with an art scene or rather, theatre scene.
Natural History Museum was surprisingly good. And it's free. History of the Earth, of humans evolution and of the animals past and present with fossils present in the museum. I spent 2 hours there easily and it was great.
Meeting up with frens and without the stress of thinking if they have an ulterior motive for doing things make me feel normal. Not that i want to mention, but i realised some people do have a good influence on you and some just dont. And i hate it when the latter happens. I become very paranoid and highly sensitive nowadays and need esther and the rest to keep me sane. To know that there are still good people around=p
Till then..
