Fairytales are for the children. Fairytales keep their innocent hearts happy and sweet while the society gets uglier and uglier. In a way, music has the same effect. That's why i love to sing.. Chinese pop, Disney songs, English and Christian songs.
Music brings people together like how it does everytime during my gathering with the girls.. A piano (i thank God for the musically inclined girls), music scores, our voices with the sopranos and altos and the memories from long ago and God of course. Hmmm, it's just so simple but so sweet. We may not need to talk much but the music and memories seemed to be sufficient.
I remembered something my teacher told me when i was in secondary school, believed it then and still do.. "The closest frens you will make in your life will be those that you see around you now, and the memories you will take from this school will not be the school but the things you do with these people." Duh, i really dun miss the school but i miss the things we do.. stupid, childish but oh wells, we acted like our age then. Going against the teachers secretly, openly, turning the juniors against them, singing competitions, musicals, NDP, school performances. Somehow i can just stare at my girls and smile..
Our experiences after the secondary school bring us closer with the diversity somehow.. with some of them overseas, MSN seems to bring us closer.
Perhaps it's because we knew one another from the long time ago, all the stupid things that we can ever do has already been done and known to them that there is no need to keep up an image, or meet up with the expectations of others.. It's at ease i guess.
Recently, there's this urge to run away from everyone, everything until december comes.. when the month of the happy days are here! Hahaz, x'mas, carolling, meetups..
Oh, i tried baked pasta from Ian yesterday.. hahaz, he cooks better than some of my girlfrens such as pong shi min who tried to bake a cake with a microwave. Peng.
