Facades
Presenting your best and most appealing self to others, in search of acceptance from others..
Twitching the focus of conversations to demean yourself and yet entertain others, in hope of attention
Pleasing everyone and fear of offending, like a child who gives sweets to playmates hoping for companionship
Hiding your inner self, expressing the facade that people will agree with
When we were younger, we tend to be more explicit in expressing our thoughts and naively thought that hypocrisy is a choice made by less-worthy people.
Gradually, we subconsciously made the so-called choice. I have hear this a million times from those 3 dollars worth of rubbish, in a column called Aunt Agony "My life feels empty, there is nothing that is interesting in my life, my life is monotonous". All the malcontent seemed to be hidden well under the many facades of people u see everyday. Why is that so? We present ourselves in a light that others may or may not like.. and people may misunderstands your personality as a result.. and it often irritates me nowadays. Those who know me well understood the jokes i made was for entertainment value, no harm just for laughs.. but others seem to take it as my personality.. to an extent that there is no value in continuing the facade.. i simply show my malcontent!
Aint i grumpy? No, this is more of the stuff that i thought of when i am alone at home.. when there is no need to interact with anyone.. haha..
"You are wad you think they think u are".. It explains everything in the waffle of a phrase.. We are who we are, but it's determined by wad u think others think of u.. Sometimes, when u are stereotyped to be a particular type of person by others, u tend to amplify that image even though u may not like it.. may call it the way of interaction with pple outside that circle..
Hahaz, a private joke.. I'm the hole in the donut of trust.. oh wells i admit that.. It can get quite funny as a joke.. but regarding the circle, everyone decides how big that circle is and who is actually in it.. jess is getting sleepy and all philosophical from reading.. pardon-moi!
